make a list, check it twice…

So now that I’m officially back in Charlotte, waking up in a room full of boxes and tape, 3 days before I leave for my trip – I sit up in bed doing what I like to do every other day or two – writing a list. But this isn’t just any old list. This is thee list. The final, final. The “you better get all of this stuff done before you leave cause you’re leaving this country and not coming back to this house” list…. The ultimate, ultimate. And I just know I’m forgetting something…

drive up, fly back (eventually)

Can I just start by saying this has been a looonngg day?? And I’m not really complaining because I mean,  I know what’s about to go down and all – I mean, I am going to Brazil and all – but in the spirit of truthful conversation and your blogging enjoyment, this has been a looonngg day!

But apparently not as long as it’s going to be for folks trying to get to Dayton! Wait, let me back up… so, we made it to DC y’all!  After that random stay in 216 around 3am, Meke and I got on the road and made it here around 2. After a quick stop at the food truck (yum), I knocked out some necessaries, met up w a friend or two, tried to rendezvous w my sister but timing didn’t work (sorry, Tam!), and then set about figuring out how to get home.
